ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance)
We successfully continue the tradition of producing electrical installation storage material in Kolín, which has fully begun in 1926. Modern technologies enable continuous product development. Given the ongoing climate change, it is essential to focus on sustainability. In this area, we have been undertaking various activities for many years. For instance, in the field of environmental efforts, we have replaced lighting in all facilities, upgraded production technologies, reduced waste during mold design, separated rainwater and sewage systems, and installed the first phase of a photovoltaic power plant at the turn of 2023/2024, covering approximately 10% of our annual electricity consumption.

We regularly organize events for our employees and support small local organizations, such as sports and recreational organizations, the Volunteer Firefighter Association, the Czech Red Cross, the Club for Cystic Fibrosis Patients, and the Srdcem Home Hospice.
LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) and EPD (Environmental Product Declaration)
In 2024, we began gradually conducting LCA studies for our products, with the results presented in third-party verified EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations). These documents transparently demonstrate the environmental impacts of our products on specific environmental areas.

Sustainability as a Core Element of Our Company Strategy
In June 2024, we successfully completed the construction of a photovoltaic power plant (PV plant) with a capacity of 0.99 MWp, installed on the roofs of our logistics and production facilities. Construction began in September 2023 with an investment of CZK 28 million. This plant enables us to reduce operating costs while significantly contributing to lowering our carbon footprint – since its launch, it has already saved 317,537 kg of CO2, equivalent to planting 9,477 trees. Furthermore, we plan to expand the plant to 2.2 MWp, utilizing the remaining roof space of our premises.
In addition to the PV plant, we have long been implementing other measures to achieve energy savings and protect the environment.
Since 2010, we have invested over CZK 170 million in building insulation, utilizing waste heat from technologies, installing heat pumps, optimizing technological water cooling, and modernizing lighting, including transitioning to LED technology. These steps have resulted in annual energy savings exceeding 9,000 GJ and the elimination of more than 2,000,000 kg of CO2 annually.
